Texas travelers can now charge their electric vehicles at Park ‘N Fly lots serving the DFW International Airport in Dallas and George Bush International Airport in Houston.
The recharge units are part of the eVgo (ee-vee-go) network created by NRG Energy Inc.
Each of the parking lots has two EV charging units that allow eVgo subscribers to recharge while they’re traveling.

An investigation of water issues by an Austin writer and environmentalisthas revived the tactic of shaming high water users like celebrity bike competitor Lance Armstrong to make a point about water conservation in the drought-stricken state.
Paul Robbins asked the Austin Water Utility to release the records for the top residential water users in Austin for fiscal 2011, which just ended Oct. 30.

Environmental stresses are taking their tolls on the insects, however, and this year’s Tyler Prize for Environmental Achievement has gone to researcher May Berenbaum, who is studying solutions to the bee crisis.
