Twenty great, green decorative items with stories to tell

May 29th, 2009

20. We’ve saved the best for last. Blue Dango offers original artwork created by elephants in Thailand. That’s right, give an elephant a brush and some bold colors and the result is worth framing (above). This piece, Wonderful Day, is painted by the elephant named Luk-Khang, and it’s a perfect example of his (or hers) ”long, vertical brushstrokes.” Part of the money goes to support elephant conservation centers and to sustain the lives of Thailand’s elephants. And what a conversation piece. It’s $632.50 from Blue Dango.
