You say you live in the city, with no space to garden? No excuses now, thanks to some amazing innovations in planting. The most striking form, vertical, owes much of its artfulness to Patrick Blanc. If his fabulous creations look daunting, get started with Flora Grubb’s do-it-yourself vertical garden kit, $100. Another way to go is upside-down with the Topsy-Turvey planter from Gaiam, which grows from above ($19), or a hanging sky planter from Clean Air Gardening, $25. And these options from Woolly Pocket?
