Commons Ford Ranch Metropolitan Park
From Travis Audubon
August can be a very interesting time for the birders who brave the hot temperatures to get out and see what is happening. Our breeding birds are hastily finishing up their breeding efforts and some early migrants are starting to show up. Join Shelia Hargis for a field trip focusing on both the breeding birds at Commons Ford and the migrants passing through. We’ll walk even slower than normal identifying and discuss bird behavior, discuss the natural history of some of the species we encounter, practice our ID skills on immature birds, and practice our birding-by-ear skills.
The trip is limited to 12 participants. Reserve your spot on the Travis Audubon website!
