Sustainable Food Center

Explore the fresh, delicious flavors of the Mediterranean and learn why this traditional approach to sensible eating is so good for you. As you learn to cook with whole grains, plant-based proteins, olive oil, herbs, spices and locally grown fruits and vegetables you will also discover how these foods help prevent diseases like heart disease, diabetes and cancer, and benefit your overall health. Recipes in this class will focus on naturally gluten-free, vegetarian and low glycemic ingredients; we will discuss healthy alternatives and substitutions for meat and dairy.

This class features guest instructors, Integrative Medicine specialist Dr. Shelly Sethi and cooking instructor Shefaly Ravula of Shef’s Kitchen.

Classes are for adults; teenagers may participate with a parent or guardian present.
