Microcosmos
Microcosmos, by French documentarians Claude Nuridany and Marie Pérennou, is a close-up look at the tiny worlds just outside your back door. Featuring the music of Bruno Coulais, this film received accolades from critics upon its release in 1996. Roger Ebert gave it four stars and called it “an amazing film that allows us to peer deeply into the insect world and marvel at creatures we casually condemn to squishing.”
