(Branson West, MO) — The developers of the long-delayed Indian Ridge Resort are being sued by the state of Missouri for allowing sediment from the undeveloped land to flow into Table Rock Lake.

Missouri Attorney General Chris Koster today filed a lawsuit against Jim Shirato and Donald Snider, accusing them of state Clean Water Law violations.
Koster claims there has been no work done on the Indian Ridge site in Branson West since 2008, after the 850 acre site was cleared of trees and other vegetation. Now, with each rainfall, Koster says sediment from the barren property flows into Table Rock, polluting the water.

In a statement released by his office, Koster said, "Every developer in our state is aware of the obligation to ensure the environmental integrity of their development sites."

Koster's suit, filed in Stone County, wants civil penalties of up to $10,000 per day, the developers to pay for the damage to the lake, and court costs.
