Environmentalist Bill McKibben makes an appeal to join the protest against the Keystone XL pipeline that’s continuing this week in front of the White House.

Noted climate scientist James Hansen, who alerted Congress to the dangers of the greenhouse gas effect more than 20 years ago, also joined the protest today. Hansen heads the NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies. Read more about why he joined the protest.
