Arkansas businesses pledge 6 percent for the planet on Earth Day

April 21st, 2009 · No Comments

From Green Right Now reports

Several Arkansas businesses will be kicking in for the planet on Earth Day by donating 6 percent of their sales on April 22 to the Arkansas Earth Day Foundation.

The foundation sponsors the annual Earth Day Festival in “The Natural State” and will be held April 25 in North Little Rock’s Riverfront Park.

Patronize these businesses (most of which are in Little Rock) and you’ll be doing your part to “create a more sustainable city, state and planet,” says Arkansas Earth Day Foundation Director Claire LaFrance.

Participants include Ristorante Capeo, The Dog House Bath and Grooming Salon, Rock City Kicks, American Pie Pizza, River City Gift Co., Box Turtle, Trio’s Restaurant, Scallions Restaurant, Dizzy’s Grill and Bistro, Argenta Bread Co., Capi’s Restaurant, Eggshells Kitchen Co., Southern Reprographics, Inc., 107 Liquor, Lilly’s DimSum Then Some, The Green Corner Store, The Garden Path, Sticky Fingerz Rock ‘N’ Roll Chicken Shack, Rumba Mexi-Cuban Kitchen, and Ralph’s Pink Flamingo BBQ in Fort Smith.
