Dozens of doggies are competing to become Philly spokes-pooch against poopie pollution

More than 80 dog owners have posted their pooches for a unique Philadelphia competition. They (the dogs) are vying to become the “spokesdog” for the Philadelphia Water Department’s campaign against pet poo.
What’s more, you can vote for your favorite hound at PhillyWatersheds.org.

Each dog contender is featured with a photograph and a bio that voters, anyone in the public, can consider.

The Philadelphia Water Department conceived of the project as a way to alert the public to the need to pick up their dog’s “presents” when out walking and thereby keep the nitrogen-rich product out of the water stream.
