Two families compare energy costs

Ever wonder just how much electricity your A/C uses or how much your family spends leaving on the lights? A first-of-its-kind experiment just started in Denton that we’ll be following all year, as Channel 8 continues our Project Green focus. Two families are measuring their savings side-by-side. The two families moved in their Habitat homes just before Christmas. We’ll check in on them throughout the year and let you know how it’s going.

Dallas debuts ‘green’ Web site

The City of Dallas Wednesday launched a new Web site dedicated exclusively to a wide range of environmental issues. Justin Farmer reports this is a first for any U.S. city.

Number of Dallas recyclers doubles

Dallas recycles Christmas trees into free mulch
