Targ31jq5udveml_ss260_.jpget’s expanded offerings of natural and organic personal products should be available in most stores this month as the chain makes room on its shelves for a variety of shampoos, skin creams and sun care products that use botanicals, herbs, minerals and vegetable and flower extracts, and are free of synthetic ingredients, such as parabens, phthalates and sodium lauryl sulfates.

Included in the new line up are these brands: Alba, Avalon Organics, Burt’s Bees, Dr. Bronner’s Magic Soaps, Juice Organics, Jason Natural Products, Giovanni Organic Cosmetics, Kiss My Face and Weleda.

Many of the products are organic and free of fragrances and colorants, as well as synthetic preservatives, and claim that they’re less irritating to human skin as well as the outdoor environment. Target selected known brands, though many have previously been available mainly at health food stores and boutiques, as well as online.

Target, based in Minneapolis, operates 1,613 stores in 47 states nationwide.
