February 2nd, 2009 · No Comments

From Green Right Now reports

Groom Energy, a provider of renewable and energy efficiency solutions, will hold an Enterprise Carbon Accounting seminar that will address the challenges in defining, accounting and reporting an organization’s Greenhouse Gas emissions. The day-long seminar in Boston on Feb. 25 will feature presenters from Ceres, Climate Disclosure Project, Genzyme, Millipore, Sun Microsystems, the World Resource Institute and others.

The seminar will feature panel discussions and case studies from leading environmental authorities and large companies that are currently defining or managing the GHG emission accounting process.

“With the U.S. Chamber of Commerce estimating that 1 million firms may be affected by Greenhouse Gas regulation, today’s organizations require effective strategies now,” Jonathan Guerster, president and CEO of Groom Energy, said in a statement. “Our seminar will bring together a community of thought leaders – our customers and industry stakeholders – to educate, network and share ideas and best practices for future success.”

Groom Energy said speakers who will present at the Enterprise Carbon Accounting event include:

  • Mindy Lubber, President, Ceres (Keynote)
  • Pankaj Bhatia, Director, GHG Protocol Institute, WRI
  • Dave Douglas, Vice President of Eco Responsibility, Sun Microsystems
