WILMINGTON, Del. — Clear Channel Radio Delaware is very pleased to announce that the Partnership for the Delaware Estuary will be the official beneficiary of the 2nd Annual Delaware Great Green Expo (March 21, 2009, Chase Center on The Riverfront). Clear Channel Radio – Delaware created the Expo to highlight local and regional businesses and agencies that offer “green” solutions and contribute to healthier, more sustainable lives. The goal of the Expo is to improve the quality of the environment and the quality of lives. The focus of the Partnership is directly inline with these same goals.

The Partnership is a non-profit organization established in 1996 to take a leadership role in protecting and enhancing the Delaware Estuary, where fresh water from the Delaware River mixes with salt water from the Atlantic Ocean. It is one of 28 congressionally designated National Estuary Programs throughout the coastal United States working to improve the environmental health of the nation’s estuaries. Its staff works with partners in three states to increase awareness, understanding, and scientific knowledge about the Delaware Estuary, the region’s most important cultural, economic, and recreational resource.

Last year the expo featured over 70 businesses and organizations offering products and services for a green lifestyle. The Expo will also feature actor and activist, Ed Begley, Jr. Begley will be available for a meet and greet and will speak about the importance of going green.

The Presenting Sponsor for this event is the Delaware Energy Office, featuring the Sustainable Energy Utility: a utility unlike any other that will provide incentives for installing renewable and energy-efficient technologies.
